- University of Rajasthan offers courses in three foreign languages
- University of Rajasthan offers courses in three foreign languages Spanish, French and German. Since the courses have started there have been a growing interest in the students for the languages and with globalisation and internet facilities students from different backgrounds are applying.
- Department of European languages, Literature and Cultural Studies in the university is offering these courses. There is no entrance exam that is being held and students can apply directly. The admission list will be prepared on the merit basis of higher secondary board marks. Another important factor is that students of all age group can apply here and there have been students as old as 60 years who applied for the course after their retirement.
- After learning the languages, there are options to apply for banks, embassies, tourism department, hotels or teachers. There is a scope in abroad as well because of the reach of these languages. There have been suggestions to make a language school in the University so that other languages like Japanese, Italian and Chinese could be included but for some reasons it could not be implemented.
