Earlier,Haryanahad a target of screening around 98.1 lakh people with an annual income of Rs 1.8 lakh or less. On Thursday, the state increased the number to 1.2 crore after a survey – a rise of nearly 24%.

The check-ups are meant to be done at least once every two years. The scheme aims to detect diseases at the earliest to lessen the burden of treatment costs on the patient’s family. Under the revised target, a total of 4,38,682 people will be screened in the city, up from 3,48,556 earlier.

The Ministry of Finance has announced the launch of a special 75 coin to commemorate the inauguration of Indias new parliament building. Prime MinisterNarendra Modiwill unveil the coin on Sunday, 28 May, coinciding with the celebration of Indias 75 years of independence.

The newly minted 75 coin will feature the iconic Lion Capital of the Ashoka Pillar on one side, with the wordsSatyamev Jayatebelow it. The coin will bear the inscription Bharat in on the left side and India in English on the right. It will also display the rupee symbol and the denomination value of 75 in international numerals beneath the Lion Capital. On the reverse side, an image of the parliament complex will be depicted, with Sansad Sankul written in Devanagari script on the upper periphery and Parliament Complex in English on the lower periphery.
