Government spending Rs. 16,000 crore on medical, education and research: Haryana CM

At the second convocation ceremony of Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, the Chancellor of the University and Governor, Haryana, Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar presented degrees to the students of various courses related to health sciences.

Addressing the gathering in Rohtak, Khattar said that about Rs. 16 thousand crore is being spent by the government on medical, Education and research etc. A provision has been made by the government for the welfare of the Society that the students who have obtained doctor’s degrees from government medical colleges should give some part of their earnings for social causes. He called upon the students who took the degree of doctors to come forward for social service. Serve the people through government service and take care of the people of the state.

Khattar said that a joint course of bio engineering and medical engineering will be started soon in the state. He said that the kidney transplant will start soon in Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences. He said it is being ensured that every district must have a medical college and at present, 13 medical colleges are functioning in the state and 11 medical colleges are either under construction or have been announced. He said that after the year 2014, medical seats have been increased significantly in the state and in the next five years, the number of these seats will be increased to 3,000.

He said that as per the norms of World Health Organization, there is a requirement of one doctor per 1000 Population. Thus, at present there is a need of 28 thousand doctors in the state, while there are about 7 thousand government doctors in the state. About 50 percent of doctors, including government and private doctors, are providing Services to the people in the state. The is making continuous efforts to meet the shortage of doctors.

National Mission for Clean Ganga Organizes Ganga Utsav – The River Festival

National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) organized Ganga Utsav – The River Festival 2022 on 4thNovember at New Delhi in two sessions.

Ganga Utsav 2022 is dedicated to theAzadi ka Amrit Mahotsavthat is being observed to commemorate the 75 years of Indian Independence. As Ganga Utsav 2022 is held in the 75thyear of independence, it is planned to have 75 separate events in Ganga and its tributary basin cities and towns, by August 2023, 3-day events in 15 major cities like Haridwar, Mathura, Delhi, Kanpur, Varanasi, Patna, Bhagalpur, Kolkata etc., 1-day events in 60 smaller towns/cities, in which local and pan-India culture based events will be promoted.

Army approves five niche tech projects for development by domestic industry

The Army has approved five Project Sanction Orders (PSOs) for development of Niche technology by the Indian under Make-II route of DEFENCE procurement. The projects include High Frequency Man Packed Software Defined Radios (HFSDR), drone kill systems, Infantry Training Weapon Simulator (IWTS), Medium Range Precision Kill Systems (MRPKS) and 155mm Terminally Guided Munitions (TGM).

Make II projects are essentially industry funded projects involving design, development and innovative solutions by Indian vendors for development of prototypes. An assurance of order is given after successful prototype development.
