Karnal Saral Kendra ranked first

Under the Right to Service Act, the Saral Kendra of Karnal has achieved 88 per cent success in satisfying citizens. Not only this, a citizen — after the process of appointment – has to just wait less than 10 minutes to get service. With this, Karnal ranked first among the highest ranked Antyodaya and Saral Kendras in the state in January 2020. In the last quarter, 81 per cent complaints of citizens regarding services in Saral centres were resolved. Nishant Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, said that clear instructions have been given to operators or employees at the Saral Kendra about their work.

The local ‘Shakti Udan Kendra’ set up years ago has been helping girls and women become self-reliant by giving them training in various trades, including sewing, knitting and beautician course for running a parlour. Over the past decade, hundreds of girls have benefitted from the initial training at this kendra.
